Yes, I am giving away a free secret, that is probably not written anywhere else.  It is quite simple actually.  The secret is “be patient“.  I am not talking about adding content, and sitting on your ass, waiting for the organic traffic to roll in.

Sure, we would all like to post that $200k check on our blog to show the world that we have made it in the affiliate marketing world, but those checks don’t come easy.

Often I see on various forums, posts that pretty much say the same thing - “I have been doing affiliate marketing for such and such a time and am not making any money”.  Here is where I think they go wrong.  They want to be that person that has hit the big time.  They want to be that person showing a picture of their $200k check.  They are not patient.  Anything you make over your expenses is your profit, and really, how hard is it to make that extra penny???  Wouldn’t you consider that your profit?  Take that penny and and try to double it, and double that, and then double that, and you know what, that will multiply quite quickly.  Don’t go for an offer that gives your $100 CPA.  That doesn’t mean shit if you are spending $150 to get that one conversion.

I was one of them, yes I was.  I wanted to get that big payday, and made stupid mistake, and took dumb risks.  When I searched for niche, I looked how much it was paying.  Ofcourse, I have now learned, that is not all you look for.  You will often hear, you look for eCPC or EPC, and go with reputable networks.

Believe it or not, but one of my most profitable campaigns was a payout of $1.20 CPA and it is not hard to make $50-$100 with it daily.  I have other campaigns that are in the higher payout range, but you know what, it takes a lot more of my time trying to tweak it and monitoring.  Plus the higher payout offers also cost me a lot more to get those conversions.

If you are starting out in AM, be patient, and try to get profitable.  Like I said, even a penny above expenses is your profit.  Learn to make that penny, and the rest will look easy.  As they say, “Once you know how to make a million dollars, it is so much easier to make ten million after that”
